I decided to start the living the dream with Curveball podcast because of the encouragement of friend and author Ken Brandt. I interview him in the very first episode about his new book, and his writing process of creating the book. The podcast is all about encouraging people to achieve their dreams. I will be interviewing people about achieving dreams and the process they went through to do so. I plan to release new episodes once weekly unless an episode is time sensitive. As I build up my ccontent I would like to release more episodes on a weekly basis, but we will see how that goes. How I got started in radio

In this post I will explain how I got in to radio, and how I ended up in broadcasting school. I am a member of a blind chat site known as Blind Café. They are not only a chat site, but they also own a radio station called Blind Café Radio. The owner and station manager both liked my voice, and kept encouraging me to take a spot as a DJ on the station. At first I did not take them seriously, but after several other people said I belonged on the radio I decided to take them up on the offer.

I started out with my show called The Late Night Strike Zone where I play r&b and I also now do the Exciting Sounds of Motown as well. I decided since I was doing radio shows that I needed to get some professional training so I could be the best on the air. I began looking for an on line training program and found the Academy for Radio and TV broadcasting in Huntington Beach California. It is a 30 week training program that teaches you everything you need to know about radio and TV broadcasting. I am now in my 17^th week, and my private instructor tells me that I am the schools top student by far. I have only been on the air for nine months, and I never imagined I would be doing this.

This is the first addition of the DJ Curveball blog. This is the place where I will let my fans know what is going on with Jacksons Production as well as what is going on with my radio shows. I had a great turn out last night for the r&b Extravaganza. This is the show where I pitch all of your favorite r&b hits for two hours. The station that this show is on is called g-spin radio. The g-spin radio web site is www.gspinradio.com and I have been doing this show for about a month. Next month on May 15^th is g-spin radios two year anniversary. I will be doing some kind of top twenty countdown for the celebration so stay tune for details. I will be back later this week to update you on everything DJ Curveball.
